kerry Posted October 24, 2016 Report Posted October 24, 2016 I recently replaced my vacuum pump which came with a gasket. There's a spacer between the pump and the case. I when I removed the spacer I noticed there was no gasket between the spacer and the case. Is this correct. I've never leaked oil in this area. I have an experimental that has an O-320 and it does have a gasket between the spacer and case and it has oil residue. Can anyone tell me if a gasket belongs between the case and vacuum pump spacer. kerry Posted October 24, 2016 Author Report Posted October 24, 2016 I think the spacer I'm referring to is called a vacuum pump driven gear assembly. Quote
RLCarter Posted October 24, 2016 Report Posted October 24, 2016 It's the same gasket that goes between the vacuum pump and the adapter lyc p# 61183 Quote
Guest Posted October 24, 2016 Report Posted October 24, 2016 While you have it off, you may want to replace the drive shaft seal, they are prone to leakage as well. Clarence Quote
