scottfromiowa Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Has anyone moved their gauges within the six pack (1966 M20E with Garwin Gauges)? What I want to do is move the fuel gauges from top left and center to the bottom left and center. Haven't pulled any out individually and wondered how feasable this is. I know they have the connector cable going in which may limit moving the gauges...anyone try/do this successfully? I want to remove all gauges in six pack except fuel and want the space room above by moving them down within the six pack. Thanks for replies and thoughts...even if you have just pulled some out and are talking theory... Scott Quote
eaglebkh Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 I'm pretty sure the labels for the gauges are on the face plate, not the gauges themselves. So if you moved the fuel quantity indicators down a row, they would be in the Oil Temp and Oil Pressure slots. Would you make a new face plate or re-label? Can't help you with the cables, though. scottfromiowa Posted December 9, 2010 Author Report Posted December 9, 2010 The '66 has individual gauges...NOT the face plate over all. Quote
N601RX Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 I pulled the 2 fuel gauges out to see if they could be swapped a while back and they cannot be. Each one has a unique electrical socket on the back of it. I'm not sure if it is possible to move the sockets. Quote
scottfromiowa Posted December 9, 2010 Author Report Posted December 9, 2010 That's what I was afraid of. Thanks Mike Quote
