My friend just partnered in a A-36 with the Tornado Alley TN set up. I was talking with him and I commented his overhaul, costs would be around $45,000 for a full house overhaul.

i don't think he was ready for that number so I hope I didn't give him too false of a number.

was I close?

Go directly to the Continental website for the worst case scenario.  They have numbers for new, factory reman, and OH?

An IO550 is a 35AMU project for the factory reman.  This does not include the twin turbo system, or the R&R. Continental should have numbers that will get you close with their TNIO550.

Best regards,

Does not include hoses (1100$) ,  R&R labor (4K) , prop overhaul or inspection( 1-8K) , prop governor (1-2K) , wiring or firewall prep (?), engine mounts (500-800$) . SO add another 10-12K to tjhe 35k for the engine. Its a better value, a factory overhaul M20J engine is over 35K installed.
