AC-130J Upset Event - Total Loss

No deaths, just total loss on the aircraft.  Given the contributing factors listed, a final report would be an interesting read.

The story says the crew is responsible for the incident. Given the circumstances of the flight, it's amazing they were able to land the airplane safely.

I was there the first time they grounded the aircraft  .. a lot of work went into getting it back airborne and figuring out what was going on... then boom second time it becomes a total loss.. I do have to say the inside of the new ac looks pretty nice !

If it's like most companies it will get them a promotion to the next level so the current manager doesn't have to deal with them.

Not in any unit of a company I worked in...If you suck, make poor decisions that cost money...you are gone.  With a whimper not a boom.  H.R. knows all.  They aren't talking...
