Guest Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 Hate to do it, but it's time to sell Olivia. Lots of good times. Proved dependable and efficient, and she has been lovingly maintained and hangared all these years. Quote
bonal Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 Are you going to purchase something else and keep flying Quote
Guest Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 Thanks slvrbck. Bonal, I will hope soon return to the skies in a low-slow aircraft. Renting a Piper Cherokee is in my near future now. Mooneys are of course a great aircraft but the local field has taken away the joy of ownership with lousy maintenance service and high fees and fuel prices. With no other options it was time to sell. Maybe it will send a message. Quote
Guest Posted October 20, 2015 Report Posted October 20, 2015 Up for sale again. The pending buyer unfortunately had two financial hits this week. Best wishes to him. Quote
steingar Posted October 21, 2015 Report Posted October 21, 2015 Good luck. The fellow from whom I bought my Mooney moved into a Cherokee 140 (that I supplied). Quote
bonal Posted October 22, 2015 Report Posted October 22, 2015 That sure is a pretty little C I hope you find a good home for her. Good luck 1 Quote
Guest Posted October 22, 2015 Report Posted October 22, 2015 Thanks, guys. There is genuine interest and some folks are counting their change. It should sell pretty soon. What is tiresome though is when a deal is broken. Whether in person or over the phone, "It's a deal" is supposed to mean something. Other opportunities to sell were lost because of that. Quote
eman1200 Posted October 22, 2015 Report Posted October 22, 2015 I was considering it until I saw the tail # jk, best of luck with the sale! Quote

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Try getting their contact info in case the next "deal" goes belly up. Cs are great planes, and I'm totally unbiased. Quote
Guest Posted October 23, 2015 Report Posted October 23, 2015 I did, Hank. We corresponded back and forth for several days and I sent him additional pictures, scanned logs, etc, etc. I feel bad for his predicament and wish him the best, but it was a big frustrating disappointment. Quote
Guest Posted May 26, 2016 Report Posted May 26, 2016 Looks like the deal will go through on 1 July. Quote
steingar Posted May 26, 2016 Report Posted May 26, 2016 Congrats. Hope it works out. About the only bad thing I can say about Mooneys is you can't exactly throttle back and fly slow. They just don't do that terribly well. Quote

Guest Posted May 31, 2016 Report Posted May 31, 2016 BGRCooper, it is safe to say it is sold. If for some reason the deal falls through at the last minute I will let you know. The plan is to hand him the keys on 1 July. Quote
BRGCooper Posted May 31, 2016 Report Posted May 31, 2016 Well shoot. I wish I had gone further back in the posting. I'll keep looking and let me if anything changes! Quote
Guest Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 Sold. I had over the keys tomorrow. Thanks all. Quote
