Loogie Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 Hi, New guy on MooneySpace, I live in Smithfield VA and am the proud new owner of N57986, it was a single owner plane, bought it from All American, great guys! It has less than 30hrs on a newly SMOH engine and about 2,030 total hours. I put a new interior from Aero Comfort, can't say enough great things about that outfit, on time and superb work. It has aG530W, JPI 730 and a FS450, with a nice autopilot and an HSI. Now I just have to find the time to pick it up from SAT! Pics attached. 4 Quote
DonMuncy Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 welcome aboard. Nice plane. Agree as to Jimmy and David, and Hector. Quote
bonal Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Beautiful J you have there and welcome to Mooney Space Quote
orionflt Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 very nice, if you make it up to Pa you will have to show it off in person. Brian Quote
carusoam Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Welcome aboard! Did All American help you arrange your Mooney specific transition training? They introduced me to a few good service providers... Best regards, -a- Quote
Loogie Posted April 4, 2015 Author Report Posted April 4, 2015 Thanks for the welcome. Lots of good info have I learned from this site. Carusoam, I have only flown it for less than an hour, I will get an orientation from All American when I go pick it up, not new to Mooney's but new to a G530W. I am sure I will miss the GNS480 from my other ride... Looking forward to hitting my fly fishing escapades at new speeds! Loogie Quote
Tankinbarber Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Nice plane! I have a rocket with a similar set up. I love the engine monitor. Quote
22 others Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 That is a beautiful interior! Congratulations on punching your membership ticket to the Mooney club. Quote
RocketAviator Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Welcome and Congratulations When do you expect to pick it up? Lots of Mooneyspace folks around SAT that are very helpful! I have flown with 480 & 530.. I felt the 480 was far ahead of its time when I flew with it but the 530 is SO much less complicated. Quote
Loogie Posted April 4, 2015 Author Report Posted April 4, 2015 Expect to pick it up on the 22nd this month. Yes 480 is a nice FMS system and very efficient am sure will miss it a little. However I am sure the 530W will do what it is supposed to do. I even have a NAV card ready to go...A nice tidbit I got from this forum. Quote
rainman Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Congratulations. I live near San Antonio. Give me a call/PM me, when you get to town. Anything I can do to help, I'll be happy to do. I'm based at 5C1 (where Jimmy and Dave have one of their hangars). I also had Hector do my interior a few years ago, and it still looks great. Ray Quote
Mooneymite Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Congratulations and welcome aboard! Once you get the plane home to Smithfield, do you have a nice "first cross-country" planned to introduce the plane to family? Quote
fantom Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Fine triple header. All American, Aero-Comfort and a Rocket. Well done! Quote
slowflyin Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Welcome! Â Beautiful AC. Â I'm VA based, let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Quote
Heloman Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Wow, that's nice! The interior looks great, did they refurbish the plastic too? Quote
Loogie Posted April 5, 2015 Author Report Posted April 5, 2015 Appreciate all the welcomes! Not sure where first x-c will be to w/Fam, I am sure I won't get a vote though! They pretty much refurbished everything, including plastic. Quote
FlyAU Posted April 5, 2015 Report Posted April 5, 2015 Wow congratutations on your plane! I too am looking for a "J" or "K" hope I can find one as nice as yours! Quote
graham28105 Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 Great looking bird. Did you loose much useful load when redoing the interior? That's a lot of nice leather. Quote
