Houman Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 King Schools IFR written is the best. I have tried two others. Well I'm doing my ground school using Pilottraining.ca, it is actually very well done. As an instructor in my own field (IT), I find the their online videos to be very well done, their instructor is good at relaying and teaching the materiel. I have done more than 50% of it and hope to finish the GS in March and write my IR exam in April... 1 Quote

aviatoreb Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 50°F today... Snow is melting! -a- Today it will hit 34F. This is THE first day since December that we have seen 15 minutes above the freezing point. Lovely XC skiing this past weekend - I bet we still have good snow around here for a few weeks to come. There's a lot of it. Quote
aviatoreb Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 Here's an old time video of road plowing in "the snowiest place in america" - Tug Hill - about 1.5 hours drive south of here. Lake effect country. One time about 4 or 5 years ago they got 9 feet in 1 week! I don't think that was even a record. Quote

I think the King tapes were the best investment I ever made. I must have watched each tape at least 20 times each since I was guaranteed to fall asleep EVERY TIME I watched them. Quote
