Costs of an Alternator

I am not sure if anyone would know this off the top of their head but any ideas on the costs of a new alternator for a M20B/C O-360? My mechaninc just told me a tab which holds the bolt in it broke off somehow on mine so I am guessing I will need a whole new alternator. I doubt they can just reattach a mounting tab...can they?

Depends on the alternator, as I don't think that model came with one from the factory.  If it's the InterAv, the alternator is $335 from Spruce:

You don't need the kit, just the alternator.

Might be worth checking with a welding shop, though, to see if they can weld the tab back on.
