I use standard headsets and use ear plugs. So quiet I gave my Zulu to my brother. I don't miss it. I rather have good hearing then be cool with a 1000 dollar headset.

I tried to use ear plugs with many ANR headsets and it just does not work. Not sure why but you cannot hear the controller.
