John Pleisse Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 He did genuinely win re-election by over 5 million popular votes. [Let the floodgates open] So did Al Gore. Hillary can't unify liberal splinter groups as well and social media is almost now an even playing field.
flyboy0681 Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 I disagree Byron. Our position is weak and our borders porous. What happened in France is just too easy. I hope it doesn't happen, but if it does, it will be politically defining, and in the end, I promise you, security resources, market interruptions and public fear, will far surpass the flu, medical mistakes and cancer....even statistically. But most of all - E B O L A
flyboy0681 Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 I just peeked in, and I'm convinced you guys don't fly, work or make love often enough... All this bickering is a waste of time. Especially for my friend flyboy, who is taking a lot of time away from work and family in an attempt to prove how well informed he is. The bureaucracy runs Washington not Congress or the White House ... elected officials, D,R & I, are just ceremonial kings and queens of America .. window dressing ... professional lifers in D.C. run the show and write policy which our elected heroes don't even read before voting on it. They are clueless, and not one of them can be trusted. Not one. Democrat, Republican or Libertarian. Even my favor ate self proclaimed 'moderate' far right winger. Once in office all politicians become convinced they have to stay in office to save the country ... and they will do anything to keep their job. Seems even the perception of power corrupts. Even with what's going on in France, President Obama favors accommodation with radical Islam, their regimes and their leaders. Yesterday he couldn't acknowledge they are at war with the free word or even say Radical Islam. ISIS have killed or maimed about a 1,000 people in the last week. We're in BIG trouble when the French exhibit bigger balls than many Americans. I'll go now.... Since I work at home in front of my computer all day it, the few seconds it takes to reply here doesn't take any time away from my work. And with the kids out of the house and wife out about, I'm not taking time away from the family either, unless you count the time the cocker spaniel doesn't get petted But I have to agree with all your points.
flyboy0681 Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 And while we literally go down he tubes ... Liberals all across America are fixated that the police are violent and need retraining and wearing, "I can't breathe" shirts ... Clueless ... Not this "liberal"

It is almost a chat room and keeps the other threads clean. We fly planes because we can afford the privilege. We are political, because we are obligated. Antagonism aside, I'd still buy you assholes a beer.

AndyFromCB Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 Ditto At the current rate, we might just have to take little Timmy out when he turns 21. But like I said before, he'd probably rather smoke a joint.
bonal Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 As a great American once said, there you go again. Many presidents have had many proposals over the decades in which nothing came of them. Remember private Social Security accounts? Where did that go? How about Cap 'n Trade? According to the first order of business by the GOP, the most important item on their agenda is outlawing abortion. FYI cap and trade is starting to be implemented in the peoples republic of CA as of the first. it will take a while to get up to speed because the effected industies have to figure out how much its going to cost and then how much to pass on to consumers

I'll be in the beer tent at Oshkosh, each night, right by the tent campground, wearing an AssFromCB logo on my giant straw hat next year, eating cheese curds and drinking mic ultra. I'll buy anyone a beer, might even get custom t-shirt printed stating "I don't really think Scott is a nazi".

I don't think Scott is a Nazi any more than I am a bleeding heart liberal.
John Pleisse Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 Were you the one in this year's OSH Slant-Tale-Ale youtube video?

"Taxifornia" he said.
bonal Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 Is the California Cap-and-trade a result of legislation that Obama signed or of their own doing? That I dont know, but I do know its not from anything i voted for. estimates are that as carbon producers start buying and selling their carbon credits the prices on just about everything will go up. I work in the Gas and electric distribution business and we have already started to work this into our rate case with the state.

I work in the Gas and electric distribution business and we have already started to work this into our rate case with the state. I left LA in 1996 for FLA and haven't looked back. Probably the best move I've ever made, other than marrying my wife. But in all fairness, I did live a number of years in San Francisco and do miss that.
AndyFromCB Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 Were you the one in this year's OSH Slant-Tale-Ale youtube video? Have not seen the video in question. I was there last year. Rented a house boat for a few days then me and wife camped for few more nights, really enjoyed the beer tent and cheese curds. There was even a little emergency their last night when I heard the cooks around 10 or so PM scream: "OMG, we're out of cheese curds". Fun times even with all you conservatives around
John Pleisse Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 Here ya go CB...houseboat sounds like a smart idea.... 1

AndyFromCB Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 Here ya go CB...houseboat sounds like a smart idea.... Nope, Not me. Looks like formation flying. Too much of a wuss. We didn't take the Bravo in anyway. My brother flew it in later on in the week.
AndyFromCB Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 Agenda? I don't think JD fleecing police departments in Seattle, New Orleans and NYC is a top prioity. I don't think nationalizing healthcare for the 6% downtroden among us is a prioity either. Brother-man is about to go on the record with his veto pen. He's all alone and America is fed up. Actually, JD going after police departments is not that terrible of an idea. I don't see how you can claim that majority of government is corrupt, unions need to be busted, but leave police and their unions out of the equation. Nobody is saying fire them all, but their culture and attitude could use some adjusting. It wasn't that long ago, when CBP was pulling pilots over left and right, and I happen to be on of the first ones and to say the least, the way I was treated left a bad taste in my mouth. That's when I started looking into how our police is trained and serve and protect has been replaced long time ago with mostly "make them obey". LA is actually a great example of what happens when a police department is readjusted, starts working with the community and trust develops both ways. Their crime is actually down, witnesses are considerably more likely to cooperate and even incidents of resisting arrest are down. I am not saying the world is not full of criminal assholes but the police cannot approach every encounter with a citizen from the start as an encounter with a criminal. First words out of CPB agent's mouth to me were "what the fuck is going on here". As you can imagine things went down from there. I also happen to be fairly wealthy, white and know my rights. Most people living in less desirable areas do not have the luxuries. You have to have the ability to put yourself in their shoes a bit. Do some research on civil forfeiture and see how many of our police departments no longer look at citizens as anything else potential source of assets to be stripped off. There actually was a town in TX that pulled people over and confiscated cash in wallets and watches and it went on for 3 or 4 years until they pulled over a wrong guy, who just happen to be a rather powerful TX attorney. Police are by themselves the very legal, violent arm of government along with the military and as branches of government actually given permission to execute violence on behalf of the state, need to be the closest watched with the most oversight by citizenry.

I mentioned this very thing to my wife last night over dinner, but I said it occurs here about once every four months, mostly in the workplace.
alex Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 "See the guy over there, he throws stones like a girl". I think Obama might be gay...not that there's anything wrong with it. 1
