Marauder Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 Hey Chris, how's that? Best regards, -a- Much better than your attempt! Mark is the new unit backwards compatible with the 8000BT? Quote
carusoam Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 That would go very nicely with that modern Aspen IP.... Thanks, Mark. Controlling budgets sounds like a good business idea... Best regards, -a- Quote
Mscheuer Posted August 8, 2014 Author Report Posted August 8, 2014 Much better than your attempt! Mark is the new unit backwards compatible with the 8000BT? Yes, and with GMA340 Quote
Marauder Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 Yes, and with GMA350 Excellent! Thank you. Quote
Mscheuer Posted August 8, 2014 Author Report Posted August 8, 2014 Excellent! Thank you. It is not a slide in replacement to the GMA350 but rather the GMA340 Sorry about that. Quote
Marauder Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 It is not a slide in replacement to the GMA350 but rather the GMA340 Sorry about that. I'm more interested in knowing if the unit can be a direct slide-in for the 8000BT. If so, do you sell the tray needed for 8000BT so that it can be sold? Quote
Mscheuer Posted August 8, 2014 Author Report Posted August 8, 2014 I'm more interested in knowing if the unit can be a direct slide-in for the 8000BT. If so, do you sell the tray needed for 8000BT so that it can be sold? Yes, the PMA450 is a slide in replacement for the PMA8000BT. And the tray and installation kit comes with the PMA450 when you buy it so you would use it to sell along with the PMa8000BT. No need to buy anything extra. Mark Scheuer PS Engineering, Inc. Quote
FoxMike Posted August 10, 2014 Report Posted August 10, 2014 Mark, I have a PS 7000MS in a 1999 Mooney. Is the 450 the same size? I have heard that you have changed the connectors over the years so I guess I would need to do some rewiring. I fly some IFR in busy airspace and sometimes need to listen to two channels at once. I used to be able to keep things sorted out but I was wondering if the intellaudio really works and if you can better explain the design objective I would appreciate it. Have only a Mac so I cannot listen to the demo. Thanks. Quote
Mscheuer Posted August 10, 2014 Author Report Posted August 10, 2014 Dear FoxMike The tray is actually smaller but the faceplate is the same size 1.3" X 6.25" While the connectors are different, all of the wires are already at the panel, there is no rewiring, just re-pinning. We have a cheat sheet for the avionics shop that makes the process easier. Let me know if you want me to email it. There is an Aviation Consumer Product Review which I believe will be in the next issue. They evaluated our I telliAudio extensively, this article might be helpful for you to decide if it will assist you in your radio communications. Sincerely, Sincerely, Mark Scheuer Quote
carusoam Posted August 10, 2014 Report Posted August 10, 2014 Feel free to post the cheat sheet. It makes for a great learning experience. You may need to be using TAPATALK to make that easier??? Best regards, -a- Quote
FoxMike Posted August 10, 2014 Report Posted August 10, 2014 Mark, I would appreciate a copy of your cheat sheet. My email is bellw@me.com. Thanks in advance. Walt Quote
