chrisk Posted July 29, 2014 Report Posted July 29, 2014 I stopped at kbgd on my last trip to Colorado. They were very nice, and fuel prices were decent. They let me keep the airport car over night. I'm sure they could recomend a place to eat if you call.

Rustler Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 Just ate last week at the new cafe at the new Dalhart (KDHT) terminal. The cafe hasn't been open very long but had a good breakfast and a tasty looking lunch menu. The pies looked really good, and the locals recommend them. Didn't look to me like the terminal had been open very long, either; it is really nice.

The-sky-captain Posted August 23, 2014 Author Report Posted August 23, 2014 FYI the Dalhart restaurant is a great stop. The building is brand spanking new and both times we stopped in the place was filled to capacity. It's a small town and the locals all apparently eat there regularly and watch planes come in and out. It's active with crop dusters as well. The food was excellence and fuel was reasonable. Thanks for the heads up on Dalhart, Michael (Rustler) P.S. The only negative is the terrible smell from the cattle feed lots.
