Great job by a couple of our fellow Mooney Pilots filling in where Uncle Sam could not:

"Organizers of the annual Veterans Day parade in Pebble Creek, Litchfield Park AZ were dismayed when they were informed by Luke AFB that the annual flyover by the local F-16 unit would not happend due to the current government funding cutbacks. To the rescue was local resident Darwin “Hot Dog” Puls who organized a Mooney flyover with other Mooney Caravan formation qualified pilots, Ray “Nacho” Reher, and Chuck “Cowboy” Crinnian. The Arizona Caravan group flew several passes over the parade in a 3-ship “Vic”. Note the Red, White, and Blue symmetry. The efforts were well received by the crowd."

Outstanding! Now if the govt would have the sense to hire Mooneys for all their flyby events, we might just manage a balanced budget!

They wouldn't have to pay me if they'd just pay for the paint job...

I need to go to one of those formation flying clinics. I think that would be very cool.

I was stationed at Luke for six years and I'm very familiar with the local airports. Great job guys! Thanks for making us all look good.

I thought Darwin lived here in Georgia, up at Gainesville. Did he move to Arizona recently?  I'll have to look him up, haven't talked to him in awhile I guess!

Is this our Darwin we are talking about?  The 2013 Mooney Caravan Lead?

Of course!

Being one of those retired airline guys he winters in AZ and spends the summer in GA
