I did my SkyBeacon myself and my IA signed it off. Easy to do. SkyBeacon has a sample 337 on there website. I filled out the paper work with my IA info and signature and sent it in. Test flight was no big deal. Gave me an excuse to fly and report came back perfect. If you want to fly to Vegas I'm sure my IA would do it for you. He charged me $50.

You can check the prop index. If blade #1 is aligned with cylinder #1 at top dead center it can help with vibration. It helped with my experimental with a Lycoming O-320.

Looks new. 145k is a better deal then buying it right out of the Mooney factory. -
It could serve a 2nd purpose. If you get smoke in the cockpit you can use it as breathing device. Just make sure to use mouth wash afterwards.

Vacuum step conversion or removal?

Maybe you could you get an original manual hand crank cable step from a model A,B or early C and use it to replace your vacuum step. -
I understand your logic but it makes me think how many WW2 pilots survived because they didn't have shoulder harnesses allowing them to have more maneuverability during combat.

Back seat in a later model Mooney ain't going to do anything to that kids ears. I would imagine The child is starting to speak a few words. If you can get him to wear a headset then it might be a good time to start his radio work will Artcc.

I've seen the airplane several times this year in transient parking at the North Las Vegas Airport. Sad to hear of its fate. The plane definitely stood out.

I'm sure you could fly a Mooney wood wing impregnated with resin but wouldn't practical because of the weight added to the airplane. The best option is to use ultralight fabric with proper UV protection. With field approval I think Oratex fabric would be the best option because it's stronger and lighter than the ceconite process.

I enjoyed the interview. I know he had a lot going on in the cockpit but I kept thinking it would have better if the door was sprung open prior to impact. Hollywood should make a movie from the event. "Miracle on Half Moon Bay".

I'm sure it's referring to Razorback covering. I think the best covering system would be Oratex. No silver or dope needed. Fabric comes pre painted and you apply it like shrink wrap.

The AD is on the fittings. Aluminum fitting need to be replaced with steel fittings. -

The beach house where Maverick took Charlies breath away was in front of our hotel in Oceanside CA. It was surrounded by a chain link fence waiting to be restored by the city of Oceanside. That was a year ago.

Maybe I had the conversation with the dentist in the early 2000's and the event with the dental exam was earlier.

I believe Chuck Yeager had fighter jet privileges into his upper 70's. I spoke to a military dentist that did his dental exam clearance at Edwards back in the early 2000's. After the dental exam Chuck Yeager offered him a jet ride. The dentist declined because he was to scared. I told him I would of jumped at the chance in a heart beat. He showed me a picture with Yeager's arm around him on his phone.

corrosion painted landing gear looks better than mine. I think his gear is fine.
