  1. airnav has a recent comment write up for The Park VNY with contact info. I would give them a call at 818 834 1085
  2. I general fly 10.5 and 11.5 cross country. When crossing the sierra's I climb to 14,000. When clear of the range I go back to my cruising alt. Going 10,500 to 14,000 I seem to get about 300' per minute climb with just me aboard.
  3. I've have a mig 170 wire feed welder from harbor freight. It's a 220v. I've had it a few years with no problems. I find it much easier to weld with vs. a ARC welder.
  4. Sounds like Page. This was my destination last Friday and while I'm on my base leg an airliner on a straight in announced that I just cut off an airliner.
  5. Friday I was at a busy uncontrolled airport. I entered the downwind pattern and began my base turn. I then heard an aircraft call straight in approach. I decided to extend my base past the runway. I didn't want to take a chance and have the straight in aircraft ram me from behind. The straight in aircraft then called out on the radio that I just cut off an airliner. I spotted him at my 5 o'clock 1 mile on approach. I radioed back "ya right".
  6. I would use the micromesh on exterior only.
  7. I've had good luck with micromesh. Worth a try.
  8. I don't think they have property tax on airplanes is Arizona. You do have to pay a license and place a sticker or tag on your plane. It's minimal. I think my friend in Arizona pays about $15 a year for his C150
  9. Better check to see if you have a lean on your plane. I wouldn't be surprised if you ignored it.
  10. Save some money and be a real CB. Get a ADT200. I like my ADT200. It doesn't tell you what direction the traffic is. It just alerts you that traffic is nearby so I quickly stick my head up and scan for traffic like I should be doing in the first place.
  11. I agree. Saw horses are what I use.
  12. Arizona has great values on airpark homes.
  13. It looks to nice to do touch and go landings with.
  14. If you do scrap it I would like to have it for parts.
  15. If you can get ahold of Michael Ritterbush then it will probably cost less than a thousand to fix it. I messaged you his email address.
  16. Touch and Go's are fun. Do as many as you want.
  17. My dental drill would easily fit in there. Ask your dentist if you could borrow his electric lab handpiece with a E-attachment contra angle latch with a #4 0r #6 round bur. Or you could buy a cheap unit off of ebay for under $100. You might be surprised how often you'll use the drill. Much better than a dremel. http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Dental-Lab-MARATHON-35k-Rpm-Handpiece-Electric-Micro-motor-10-Drills-Burs-/201527992673?epid=1780369240&hash=item2eec012161:g:eUEAAOSwwKtZjWua
  18. The Comanche 260 might be a good fit. Another airplane to consider is Bellanca. My friend has a Super Viking and I love everything about it. For the price there's not another airplane out that can touch its performance. To me the Viking seems roomier compared to the Mooney but many complain it has tight quarters. It might be worth checking one out.
  19. If I win it I'll buy everybody on Mooneyspace a brand new Mooney.
  20. marvelous mystery oil
  21. I recommend you let your favorite fellow mooniacs take it for a cruise once a week.
  22. Maybe they should market it as a STOL kit. lol
  23. If it's your TC then Michael is the only person that has the parts to OH it. If it's the heading bug on the DG because it drifts then you need it OH'd from any instrument repair shop. Try flying with it in wing leveler mode by pushing the heading button in half way and see what happens.
  24. I have a P2A in my plane. It is electric. No vacuum. Michael Ritterbush is the only person that has the equipment to repair it. He use to work for U.S. Avionix who designed and manufactured Pathfinder autopilots. Michael repairs turn coordinators and now resides in Oregon. Let me know if you want Michael's contact info.
