  1. Saw a couple at Oshkosh last year- looked amazing - the only thing I would wonder about is the glare off the top of the cowling.
  2. I've got 77MR reserved - most time I talk to ATC with 9640M I get "say again" - don't know if its my Wisconsin/Texas accent or if it's just a weird grouping of numbers... besides I like the idea of associating Mike Ropers to Mike Romeo kinda rolls off the tongue!!
  3. Last year coming back from Oskosh to Houston, Checked and planned with the weather - noted that one day earlier would be the best option. I hated to cut it short but that would be the best for me. I wanted to leave Wisconsin early and make it home about 12, checking the route again changed the departure time based on TAF's I was seeing (MVFR) at my intended time. I delayed for two hours as that was when it was expected to go VFR - but even then I had a plan to land and sit in the Dallas area for things to clear (Dallas was expected clear VFR) As things turned out Houston cleared up later than expected, we landed in the Dallas area as planned had a relaxing lunch break and waited for things to lift. Worked out as just fine, cutting the trip a day short eliminated get homeitis and was the best decision as weather along the route turned worse
  4. This is close - its what I put on mine
  5. From the looks the monigram stitching was too close together. It wound up "cutting" the leather. I'd get some carpet tape - not the sticky stuff but the tape that has to be heated to melt the glue and fix the failed headrest as well as reinforce the rest.
  6. I did fly into Alliance this last Monday - and I have to say it was a great experience (even with the horrible winds that day) Super FBO, probably one of the nicest crew cars I've yet to get, great folks and for a larger airport the fuel was resonable. I will definately go back there again. Now lets hope I land the job.
  7. I've got an interview across the street - it looked like the closest place. but I'd take a short drive as well just need a rental car.
  8. Would like to stop for about three hours Monday at the north end of the field.
  9. Nothing yet going to check again tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Yea. Wink wink. I'll be "dropping" mine next week too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Didn't read close enough. I had both oil cooler hoses replaced and fire sleeved. Total cost was around 1100. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Hoses don't cost much. It the ten hours of labor to snake em out and back in properly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. "With the master switch on, I tested the voltage across the Solenoid. It was 25v on Batt side and @ 5-7v on the other terminal. Repeat testing the Solenoid with both batteries connected once again in parallel as before, resulted in 25V across the solenoid and all electronics fired up normally once again." The fact that you get full voltage through the solenoid when you hook both batteries together tells me that you may have a faulty frame ground on battery one. Using jumper cables gives a good ground through battery 2
  14. Disconnect ALL cable ends in the battery and solenoid clean and reassemble. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Try depressing one position's pedal and bleed, then switch to the other and bleed
  16. Don't forget some pictures!!
  17. Yep the user information came up for me as well - but none of the history - that's what I want to be consistent on. Hank - here's the link to MedExpress - https://medexpress.faa.gov - they have a "forgot your password" link.
  18. My medical doesn't come till next May - but I started thinking about the process. Obviously it's best to be consistent on the information that is put on the forms, but I neglected to memorialize what I put the last time. The great folks at CAMI have a (to me at least) little known service for those of us that are less structured than we would like to be. With a written faxed request they will send (free of charge) a copy of the last submittal. Mine was a two week turn. The response comes certified. Now I don't dread the form any more! Thanks CAMI!
  19. Keep the full size for on board passenger entertainment - I did!!
  20. @ 6:49 looks like he's coasting??
  21. I had massives on top and wires on the bottom - I went to all 37BY and couldn't be happier. EGT evened out better across all cylinders as well as an overall lowering of the peak.
