  1. I purchased my M20J post selling my Archer. I have not looked back. The J is a great model that does so much with so little. 65k will be a hard budget, compromises will be a reality.
  2. Yeah I kinda figured it was kind of iffy with that construction but I guess an answer back would have been nice. Taxiway H is open to let us in and out just FYI. I'll see if I can make it over for at least a drink and to meet folks. I have a few hangars open if any one might be interested Thursday or Friday night.
  3. I hardly consider everyone gathered around the grill charing up steaks a "romantic" dinning experience. If you guys like Pedro's then rock on. Just thought I would shed some local insight, and frankly I did offer to host a cook out Friday night at my hangars (1 that is filled with an M20J) for the early arrival folks on the south ramp and no one I guess elected to take me up on my offer so I actually am joining another mass fly out bunch at their dinner instead.
  4. As a guy from Madison, you really should ditch the Pedros thing. That place is depressing and frankly pretty terrible. I can suggest so many other options just as close. These would include: Prime Quarter- A great grill your own steak place right across from Pedros on East Washington Ave.- Awesome food and a great social environment. Doolittles- By east town mall/across from your hotel and aviation themed- good wood fire grill menu.
  5. It looks as though Hector did in fact make it right. I am certainly pleased that they did and the work looks great! Thank you to Aerocomfort.
  6. -a- you certainly have an affinity for them. I understand if you had a great experience and I am happy you did I am however not in that boat and have explained why, through facts not "barbs" Maintaining a Mooney also seems to be something you over complicate or are yourself overwhelmed by based on your statements and personal expectations. At this point I do not measure my Mooney ownership in years and decades but in weeks, however this is my 4th aircraft. I think non-airworthy discrepancies or any other being rectified in 30 days is not doing good but in fact unacceptable and faceless emails are the only ones I know how to send. If Hector wants to Facetime I would be happy to.They are an exceptional plane but a single engine complex not the space shuttle. I will be heading to the UPS Store soon if anyone cares to start a pool...
  7. I did not. I spoke in person initially with a very nice and helpful lady and Hector came in via email after I sent them down.
  8. I JUST got a call from the UPS Store that I used to ship the headrests to them. I received a package back from them to the store. I have no idea if they are fixed or not and am certainly grateful UPS was able to find me as they were not shipped back to my residence address I supplied.
  9. First off, I was not meaning to offend, merely stating that ignoring an issue large or small is unwise. Secondly I feel like this issue whether or not its a "real aviation" issue is one that highlights a commitment to standing behind work that you do or represent that you do. I bought an amazing plane that took a long time to work up to and was bothered by an issue as glaring as that one was, so to me it was a big deal. Communication is key in any business and I am merely stating that in this case I find it lackluster and darting. Nothing would have made me happier than to have never felt the need to reach out to the community in the first place but in this case I did, also my apologies to Hector if I turned him off. I guess my peeling interior from the preeminent shop, clearly workmanship related, answered by a answer to charge me before even checking with the shop that truly did the shody work perhaps turned me off before my arrogance could him.
  10. -a- I gave them the opportunity to respond to my issue before voicing my trouble here. The response was not my fault, pay me money. Then it changed to let me take it to the person who really did the work. Now silence. I don't know what you do for a living but it must not be something that depends on sales or customer service as if I waited 2 weeks to respond to an upset customer or just ignore them completely I wouldn't be owning a mooney long.
  11. UPDATE- No Update, It has now been 12 days since they were dropped off at the subcontractor embroidery shop and I haven't heard anything...
  12. Hector emailed me back and let me know he was taking it to the shop they outsourced the embroidery to to see what they have to say. Which is great and if it is indeed there issue hopefully they stand behind it. I would have thought he would of reached out to them before emailing me back asking me to spend money...
  13. I emailed him yesterday morning post his response email sitting my "options" telling him to send them back, if I was going to have to pay Ill take it to my guy instead. I then an hour later emailed back asking if a slightly larger logo could be placed over to save the covers. I have not heard back as to any of it. I may assume they are in a box headed back my way and he's not happy with me as maybe he has now read this string or maybe they are being repaired and he has been to busy to respond. I don't know...
  14. I truly understand the limited vs lifetime warranty and also know in business there can be the letter of the law and the intent of the law. At the end of the day this should not have failed! Is it the best out there or do those of you who think so, think so because you paid a lot of money for your interiors and justify it. I had my Archer done around the same time buy a old timer locally and they look and feel great. The best of the best should not be using a subpar leather or subpar techniques which is quite obviously what occurred here making me doubt the leather my seats are made of too. If this thing sat in the sun and cold for 10 years it would be different but this isn't how great materials or workmanship should hold up or how it gets resolved by the producers. The best of the best says this shouldn't happen, I am correcting it and I am overnighting them back to you and if it was a leather issue let me now if there are any future issues please contact me immediately. I don't like that I had to come here and potentially put doubts to future customers but I gave them the opportunity first and I could have and would have reported at how great the response was.
  15. Hector and I have in fact been emailing directly regarding the issue and I agree with all of your questioning.
