  1. Opposite rudder to the FLOOR , yoke full forward and level , power to idle , wait.......It took at least a full spin for the plane to start to "fly" again , and it was a slow recovery ....
  2. I just use oxygen any time I am over 7500 feet , I find it reduces fatigue , and just makes for a better flight.....
  3. Really ? I've stalled many types , and never had the experience I had w/the Mooney....I guess I'm not the caliber of pilot that you are.....
  4. Landed in the middle of the night at some bumfuck airport in Va. because I was falling asleep....Almost froze to death.... But better than the alternative...
  5. After my spin , I did some Mooney specific training with a CFII with 4000 mooney hours , We did Approach to stalls , we did not actually stall the airplane.....I was satisfied with the training.....And yes I gave Scotts commentary the attention it deserved ..... I ignored it.....
  6. I was with an instructor doing power on stalls , I wasn't diligent with the rudder , End it up doing 2 spins before it started flying again......That was my last practice stall in Mooneys....
  7. I would be interested in purchasing the take outs...
  8. I think my wife and RJ would disagree that I am not am Ahole........
  9. I have it in my E , it looks like it was fart of a kit , 3/8 thick foil backed , the bad news is they are still very loud even with the insulation , I wouldnt do it if I had to pay for it...
  10. I have a pump and new hoses , pump is not rebuilt , but is serviceable...
  11. Most avionics manufacturers charge an automatic bench fee of 500 to 1000 dollars just to diag the box , that does not include the parts of the labor.......
  12. What a shame there was a fire , A midair save would have been priceless...
  13. Heres the good news , The G600 comes with a GAD 43 and it is not required for a lot of installs , These are hitting the market for about 1000 dollars ... Money saved....
  14. It starts about 23000.....
  15. So let me get this straight , If I buy a Cirrus , I will get laid by a young girl with large cans and a pencil skirt????? AND A PARACHUTE TO BOOT ???????? IM IN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. My favorite is the one #6 pilot had a brain seizure and was incapacitated , passenger pulled chute , all survived......No the chute wont save you every time , but it will save you when you run out of options most of the time....
  17. This ones for you Hank.....http://www.cirruspilots.org/Content/CAPSHistory.aspx
  18. And Im not saying that it is arrogant not to buy the chute , I am saying that it is arrogant not to give the chute the credit it deserves.....
  19. 44 pulls says it all ........
  20. Becca , you have a contract with the finance co , unless this is specifically spelled out in the contract , they are commiting consumer fraud, and possibly bad faith....If you have a friend who is an attorney , you should talk to them about it.....Fraud carries treble damages , and a fee shift(attorneys fees) They dont want to go there .....Do your due dilligence.... Regards Alan....
  21. The L3 is probably the most robust system , but the Antenna is butt ugly , and sits on top of the fuse....These are also easily sourced on the second hand market for about 4 K ......I like the ryan (avidyne) system , These systems are big players in the light twin turboprop market , so Service/updates should not be a problem for a long time..... The Garmin will have the advantage for repairs , Garmins flat rate repairs are cheap comparatively .... L3 are big big money for repairs... I dont know about Avidyne....
  22. I have a set you can have for 75.00 plus shipping , post a pic so I can make sure mine are correct.... Regards
  23. Soldering in an internal in a handheld is easy , and it is also legal......Diagnosing and replacing semiconductors on a board is not practical or legal....Oh and I forgot to mention , you get the battery also.....
  24. This is a vacuum system , That means the air is moved from the instrument to the vacuum pump.... You cant get carbon in the instrument , Only on some systems with boots do the steam gages run from pressurized air from the vacuum pump...
  25. Garmin Flat rate covers EVERYTHING , It comes back to you with whatever you need plus a nice 8130 and all the updates .....Its a great deal...
