  1. No disability at all , A 1995 Bonanza is over 250K with those kind of hours on it....And carries a lot more stuff , although a few knots slower.....But a 1995 Plane with FIKI for 110 .......Its a steal ........ And still not sold yet.....
  2. Don't do it EVER.....EVER.....EVER....... Inadvertent spin doing power on stalls , 3 spins and 1000 feet to recover .......I almost quit flying after that flight.......Instructor saved my ass ,
  3. I had a B and the only difference between the B and early C was the MGTOW I think the B is 2450 , and the C 2575 if memory serves me correctly , also if you have the Mcauley prop , there is no rpm restriction on the prop......
  4. Yes , people are in serious denial......I think with the Mooneys especially , you can name your price......Most all the ones Im looking at have been listed for more than a year.....The brokers I have talked to say it takes a lot longer to sell....The down side is that more people are getting out , than getting in , so there is an abbundance of inventory....If I could trade up it would be a no brainer, but it is a broker deal , and the performance gain is not big enough to justify the expense , just because I want a newer plane.....If I needed FIKI this is a steal.....
  5. I have a set , let me know what you are thinking , also measure how long they are , as mine are from a C and may not work... Regards...
  6. Selling Garmin 496 and XM weather package 900.00 , These are currently being taken in trade for 1100.00 on newer aera units....900.00 plus 20.00 shipping.....Call Alan 856 419 5209...
  7. It had a gear collapse in 1989...
  8. 10K to start the bidding , for all 4 pieces that is....
  9. Nose gear doors were sold to lasar , flap hinges were scrapped with wings.... do have pristine flaps though if needed....
  10. Sooner or later he will come over to the dark side.....
  11. Just toying w/the idea , a nice newer plane is tempting....
  12. Considering Ovation , as they have become very inexpensive , toying w/95 O with TKS and 480 / mx20 .....Probably about 110 K .....2500 tt 1400 SMOH .... I like the non turbo , what do you think the parts situation will be in 5 years , how do you think the value will be impacted when the factory shuts down.....Currently fly an older Bonanza , (s model) and have an E mooney , will sell both and move into one airplane......
  13. I just flew it to sun and fun , and back , 16 hours , and have flown it about 50 hours in the last year , I replaced the turn coordinator , and will have the wing levelor repaired later this month......Regards
  14. How could anybody forget Marcus!!!
  15. Sounds like a power issue , the gyro is in the back of the plane , hit the master and listen to it with a screwdriver , you should hear it turn , if not check power going to it,...
  16. Nothing wrong with buying parts from Brent or Jerry , people on here tend to trash vendors , I have had nothing but good experience with the Pressleys...
  17. I have an E model with the SWTA cowl mod , so it is lIke the F model with the cooler in the back..... My oil temps were always in the 240 range like yours , almost touching the red line on the gage....Although it was in the green , it didnt sit well with me.... I pulled the cowl to to change the oil temp sender , and saw an air take off for a 1"scat near the oil cooler that was open, I put a AN bolt with two 1.5 inch washers to seal it off , also I made two pieces of baffling that sealed the two sides of the cooler that dont bolt to the baffling , The end result was my oil temp dropped about 40 degrees.... The baffling is huge with oil temps....
  18. I scored lodging at spruce creek , definetly worth the commute...
  19. if it is insured for less than 55K it will be totaled out and sold ....lets hope it has a lot of insurance...
  20. 2545 rpm = tach hours ..... Running at 2300 = more flying time between overhauls......... Less rpm = less wear on engine components and accesories....
  21. Being a "one that has " and not a "one that will" from experience the way he describes the "float" was longer than expected is a dead ringer that the gear was up , regardless of what was indicated in the cockpit.....I had a retractable step , so my first indication of what was wrong was when the prop tips struck the pavement , but the most pronounced thing about the whole incident was the flare that seemed to last forever......I managed to execute a go aroung and ended up knocking off a nav antenna , scratching a flap hinge , and bending the prop tips back about 1 inch.... My nickname for a year or so ws "Crash n dash"....
  22. Depending on CG , the tail can "fly" with upward or downward force...
  23. Felt even better to get above the asking price...
  24. The easy way is to jack up the tail...
