  1. I have the valve , and senders , PM me if interested.... Regards Alan...
  2. Send me your email , and I will send you pics of what I have...
  3. Don't ask me why , but these are a mother to sell , I don't get it , if I needed one piece , it would probably cost me 800 for a used one , yet I have a full set from the C I parted out earlier this year.... I know Marauder has hail on his control surfaces , The flaps and Ails should be correct , but he has the long rudder , so they might not work....Mine ar the earlier ones so Im out on this one , P.M. Marauder....
  4. Perhaps I should bring the Beech!!!
  5. These are the direct replacements for the "7" antennas , they work amazing.......They are 360 from spruce , 180 from Fox......856 419 5209.....
  6. No way in hell that a Powerflow exhaust get 10% increase in power....Nobody I personally know with one has seen any real gains....... These exhaust systems from the factory are almost straight through to begin with......Pete go with your gut......and get some avionics or something you can use....
  7. If the prop overspeeds for real , it will warrant a teardown, get it looked at....Iv seen what happens when the governor fails , its unbelievable....
  8. The first places to look are at the front and back of the wing inside the cabin under the interior panels where the frame tubes come together and bolt to the wing.....This is common an explained in SB208 , the second place is in the wings on the back of the spar in the wheel well where the fixtures for the gear bolt to the wing spar......and generally around the spar in the wings , there are enough panels to make a decent assessment of the rest , pay a MOONEY experienced guy to do the prebuy , may be the best money spent...
  9. I am in no way trying to assess blame or guilt or anything like that , (which is why I included myself in the statement) my point was that we are all guilty of complacency and need to be more rigid in our practices......Thank you for sharing this as I'm sure it was not your proudest moment , BUT it may preclude someone else from doing the same thing.......
  10. Just so you know NOTHING in the GNC stores is regulated by the FDA or FDC , Thier products have absolutely no pharmacological value...The Chinese could use processed horseshit and it would be legal......Just like its legal for companies to buy everything from China........As we watch our economy plummet because we no longer manufacture , we have nobody to blame but ourselves......
  11. I vote that David buy Mooney , and save us all from those pesky chinese investors.......Viva la David !!!!
  12. I would bite my tongue about that hole , if the aircraft was taxied on the center line of the taxiway as illustrated by the yellow line , this post would not exist.....We all (myself included) get a little complacent in our routines at times.....performing the service bulletin inspection is actually easy , you don't have to remove the oil pan , you cut the gasket at the case seam , and install the last three inches of it with proseal and it will never leak again , also if you remove the top engine mount bolts , and loosen the bottom engine mount bolts , you can cant the engine forward a few inches which makes removing the accessories and rear case easy.....No ferry permit needed , its done....
  13. My friend is repairing that Corsair , that's the "Cheap" Hamilton standard prop....Only 70K for the prop......Just the prop....
  14. Signature engines in Ohio the best...
  15. Yes even my cheap ass has donated , Also on an unrelated topic , Mooniac58 if you go to Charlies profile , they jiggle.....
  16. YES................
  17. I dream of the day I retire my wrenches.......
  18. I killed a smart phone , and a keyless remote for my car over the years , who knows whats next....
  19. I have flown in that plane , century 2 , no altitude hold....Hes probably holding his peepee like a two year old by now......
  20. That really sucks , I had a prop strike with my B model , my insurance was at the time AIG (chartiss) they paid for a used prop that was three years old 7000.00, they paid East Coast propeller 500,00 to cut the blades down to a -2 , and they paid 500.00 for a used spinner , and 2000.00 for the AD inspection.....the prop was well beyond the calendar time , I think it was 270 hrs , and 13 years since overhaul...... In reality I paid 5500 for the prop , sold the Scout spinner for 500.00 , paid Randy at East Coast 500 to cut the blades , and bought a used spinner for 500.00 .... Since I did the work myself , I actually made money ......At the time (2008) there was no top prop replacement for the Mooney , and a new Hartzell was over 9000.00 And my original prop was a MaCauley (B Mooneys and early Cs) had them , they were non AD and at the time Mooney props were impossible to find........I did my research and found out the only difference between a Scout prop and the Mooney was the blades were an inch shorter.....The insurance co was great , they didn't drop me or raise my premium..... The MT prop is a popular mod on scouts , Helped me out bigtime....
  21. Hose , you are incorrect , A non counterweighted Lycoming engine as per ad requires a prop flange runout check , a dye check inspection for cracks on the flange , and the accessory drive gears to be checked for cracks with dye penetrant and to replace the rear crank bolt and locking tab.........It takes about 12 hours of work , and about 80.00 worth of parts......
  22. I think that the seller is being very reasonable , and fair....Take a look around your airport and see what the norm is , you will see most planes have some sort of hanger rash.......... Talk it over with whoever does your prepurchase....Keep in mind that at prepurchase they will come up with every concievable squawk known to man , You will have to interpolate the "real" stuff from the "Get real , its a 50 year old plane" stuff.....There is a happy and safe area between the two , and then you have to assess a value to the aircraft........ If you are looking for that perfect airplane , they really only exist in the pics and ads ...... When you open the logs and take a closer look , they all pretty much get similar (the decent ones that is) ... If its a piece of crap you will know 2 hours into the prebuy...... Good luck....
  23. You are going to miss the payload for sure , but going 30 knots faster at the very least is going to be huge.......Hope you get at least most of what you are asking....
  24. I would guess to replace the skin would be about 40 Hours at 70 an hour ,(2800.00) and about 300.00 for the sheet metal and rivets , and about 4 to 500.00 to paint , if it is the outermost skin , but that in no way warrants replacement , The next skin down the wing would be a lot more as the wing would have to be removed and jigged to replace , Most owners would not bother to repair that until it is paint time , or if it has really good paint......I had one like that on my tip about 4 inches in on the leading edge , My paint is really nice so I paid to have it repaired , I am not sure how much I paid because I had the cowl center section painted (did a swta cowl mod) and the tip repaired and painted with three colors in Imron , I paid 840.00 and that included 270.00 worth of paint.....
