The compliance for Class B may make sense. Class C where I am based? NOPE. This is ultimately about Government mandated control and a precurser to user-fees. I will simply relocate (at the last possible minute) outside of Class C Airspace and the safety that the longer/wider runways provide. I do not wish to "pay to play". The convenience and safety are trumped by the costs and my desire to not be mandated by the Federal Government. -

I watch very little T.V. Jim. Senator Grassley just today (on radio) discussed the importance of protecting individual's right to privacy in their pursuit of baddies using GA Aircraft. I see the "progressive" view of the future. It is NOT science-fiction. The use of unmanned surveillance craft on US soil is an eventuality if Federal Government remains unchecked. I care not whether you choose to "not agree" and discount my thinking and assumption of the future as inaccurate. You are entitled to your opinion and I to mine. Individual Freedom and Right to Privacy is mandated by our Constitution. Due process. Search and seizure. Imminent Domain. All under attack with the machine in control and gaining power and size. The checks and balances are only as good as citizens ability and desire to elect accountable representatives and the providing of oversight to ensure that the rule of law is followed and not supplanted to "Keep us Safe". Will we rule technology and govern with the rights of the individual as paramount or will we live in fear and yield our individual rights for "safety". I know where I think we are going... -

The Federal Government is mass collecting ALL data from phones (cell and landline...cell only, don't know) and SAVING the data. I have heard that now smart t.v.'s with a microphone can also be used...as can i-pads...etc...IN YOUR HOME. I have ZERO problem with the Federal Government, identifying and getting in front of a judge requesting to surveill an individual or individuals with probable cause. Surveilling all of America, having local police have the ability to surveill phones NOPE! We as U.S. citizens have the right to privacy in our homes. That someone on here gets pleasure from eavesdropping on others private phone calls is creepy to me and speaks to that persons character or lack thereof. The conversation switched to include drone use in US and the future use of drones based on the increase in technology to have vehicles that can remain on station WAY longer than Cessna's. Un-piloted. Just loitering in air space running on solar power collecting "data". Maybe where you shop, what you buy. Where you eat. What you eat. It is a brave new world regarding marketing and privacy expectations. Most don't care. I do. It is sold as necessary, like cell-phones in the pockets of students while they are in the class-room. It is fundamentally changing America. It is eroding individual freedom and liberty. It is NOT preventing baddies from doing bad things. Baddies will always do bad things. Don't hang around or live with baddies and you might make it to see the police big brother Orwellian-Terminator state of America. It's coming to a living room near you. -

"I like to feel safe. The fact that the Federal Government tries hard to keep me safe versus really keeping me safe is important to me. I like to go to bed at night knowing the Federal Government is spending a lot of money and collecting a lot of data that may or may not be used to actually keep me safe"-Joe Average American -

O.K. Jim. We need drone's to take out a baddie that took a knife to a gunfight. Gotcha. Officer doesn't need my thanks, I think he should thank his training and the fact that he was armed with a firearm vs. a whisle and a badge. Is your problem my questioning the Constitutional Interpretation of the 4th amendment by the FBI? The need for the use of a shell company vs. identifying who they belong to? The fact that they won't disclose the purpose of the aircraft? I get it. Ask no questions. The Government is doing what they need to do to protect me from threats I can not comprehend? Why the personal attack for asking questions and stating an opinion on the future of Drone's Domestic use? Armed drone's in the future on US soil? All good? -

Ever read Paul B's blog? Just talked about how many "dark ops" R&D hangers he is running into these days. Lots of Big G contracts to create units that will stay up for not hours, but days, weeks, months,...Years...spying on the citizens of the USA. All citizens, NOT just "the baddies". Necessary for tax payer money to protect us with this technology on our soil? surveillance drones ARE coming. Based on responses here. No big deal. In fact, GOOD. Catch the baddies you all say. Is that what this country was founded upon? Spying on ALL the citizens to "weed out the baddies"? -

Relax Clarence. Two aviation related questions that are very much in the news. Curious how others felt. Got my answer. Go back to your regular All Mooney All the Time network everyone. Nothing to see here but validation. -

Interesting that most are in favor of government's eye in the sky. Not surprising to me, just interesting. Minimal input on TSA screening or lack there of. A big fail, but silence there. Again, not surprising to me, just interesting. Like I thought. Nobody cares. Other than that, not so much. -
Does the FBI operating a fleet of aircraft (Mostly Cessna's) under a shell front company to surveill over cities bother anybody? Does the 70% fail on finding items (like guns/grenades) that plants took past TSA checkpoints bother anybody? OR is it like I think and it bothers Nobody.

Mooney Interior for a M20F

You have no interior photos in your Gallery Randy. Do you have an Aero Comfort interior? What did it cost? Closer to $10AMU's or $2? -
Mooney Interior for a M20F
MyNameIsNobody replied to crxcte's topic in Vintage Mooneys (pre-J models)
You didn't provide a budget/price point. Aero-Comfort is a Ferrari grade interior and price point. (They charge several hundred dollars to wrap leather around yokes. You bought an F Model. A nice plane, but not a ferrari. Go to Airtex. Find the color combination you want for header, seats, sidewalls and carpet. Order them. Find a local boat/car upholstery shop. Get quotes. Look at their work. Get her done for a fraction of the Ferrari shop-Local='s less $ and Time. Or pay a lot and get a fantastic interior. -
How do I get my physical registration certificate?

I have two items in reserve for my plane. PC boots (wing/tail) and a PC control. Brittain crew has been wonderful AND fair for me.

Here is a quote from Aviation Consumer on Vintage M20: Mooney connoisseurs tell us the best Mooneys ever built were the 1966-67 models. These had most of the airplane's desirable features-the square windows, flush riveted wing, retractable step, optional manual landing gear, good corrosion proofing and the wide-deck engines. The 1966 E models seem to have the smoothest wings I ever saw, comments long-time Mooney mechanic Charilie Dugosh.... That "did it" for me back in 2000. Good luck in your search.

If you could skate, you would be great, if you could make a figure eight. That's a circle that turns round upon itself. Turn it on its side it means....infinity. LOVED School House Rock. '70's, bad clothes, war winding down, a lying crook running the show. At least flying was affordable. Not much has changed...

I'll get back to you in a couple years. You will still have a couple years to implement...after the extension that is not supposed to happen, but will because the fleet is NOT updating at the price points that are being floated. I didn't pay $10grand for a 60" LED T.V. either... On second thought...No. Do your own homework.
