  1. i would not...
  2. No, In the previous photo I could not see the other seal that is clearly visible in the most recent photo. Looks good.
  3. Hey, noticed your seal on the door itself and the inner seal in the plane. My bird also has another seal on the plane side. Door was fitting fine...Anyway, that seal was brittle and broken. I just replace it, along with the baggage door seal. Do you notice much air/wind getting in your door? My door fit TIGHT after putting the seal in. Might have to go with a lower profile...I left door locked (with effort) and hoping it conforms and doesn't cause door popping/hard to close issues... Panel looks nice. I re-used my original panel, just re-painted and new armrest, along with new fabric (Airtex) on top section of door. Came out nice. You are on your way...I powder-coated inside/outside door handles when I had them off for work
  4. I paid over $20AMU's more for a lesser quality airframe. Wow. Good deal for someone. Good luck with your sale.
  5. No need to go full rich. Just get mixture in from idle cut-off, but keep it leaned for ground ops
  6. Great thread! Awesome testimonials. Lasar should print and frame on wall for employees to see. This kind of a reputation is difficult to obtain and even harder to maintain. Great to read. Congratulations to LASAR! Keep up the outstanding work.
  7. Putting seat back in is more of a challenge. Getting the back on the rails is more of a forcing than finesse.
  8. Co-pilot seat removal. Remove cotter-pins at back side of seat rail. Slide seat back off the rail.
  9. Not many Wings people in Mooneyspace apparently...
  10. 201='s Commander 114 & Cardinal killer. In the marketplace back in the day and in the skies. 201=Economical performance and stout build sold in the 70's & 80's... Mooney dominated them in sales. Maybe carbon China Mooney can reboot...
  11. The world "needs" neither Conservatives nor Liberals. A nice future Mooney Driver, preferably a female...now THAT is something the word needs more of.
  12. It had been a while since I had visited (to complete online training) at the FAAsafety.gov site. Unfortunately so long that I had forgotten my e-mail and password. Problem was that I had not set up my security questions...so I had to receive an e-mail...after waiting a day I looked up Des Moines FSDO and called. Had to leave a message, but received a call within 30 minutes. Jim had me fixed up in about a minute. Next day I received about 10 different e-mails saying my password was reset ....Thankfully was easy to reset with my security questions. To make a long story longer my bi-annual flight review instructor requested that I do the online course in preparation for the review. I enjoyed taking the course and will be doing some more. Good information with exam to validate your retention of information. Just me, or do others do some of the training courses from time to time?
  13. Don't be a rookie. Buy a 201, join the club and be happy.
  14. Sure they weren't tatooed in another three letter word that starts with a?
  15. People pay a lot more for "Art"... That bike is definitely ART, but just sad that it is not being enjoyed by owner and others in it's gallery... A twisty road with tree's on each side making beautiful music to be appreciated by all that hear it. Half the beauty of that bike is the sound and feel..., but like all fine art it appreciates with time.
  16. More Hypocrisy on display...
  17. Company wants to use a small drone (foam <5lbs) single engine delta wing to enhance their aerial crop services. The drone is GPS controlled. Flies at a specific altitude (under 300') over the field. Gives great insight into the crop condition in addition to taking/analyzing soil core samples. (primary mission of company done manually by accessing fields on ATV's) It appears to be very well controlled PROPER use of a UAV. Pretty cool... It is light. I would much prefer it striking my plane to a hawk or larger bird. The operator would want to avoid a collision as they have a lot of $ wrapped up in their hardware. Same stupid kids* that do the lasers at planes/rotary are the problem. They won't be coming to any meetings...They also go to golf courses to drink and ride in carts. They are awesome...or not. They are not going away. *kids does not define the age. Would prefer thugs or hooligans, but they are now "bad words" and this forum is viewed by "kids" in the classic sense. Don't be a "kid" kids....
  18. Panel looks fantastic! What is up, or rather down with your wet compass?
  19. Princess Leia in Jabba's bondage outit would be a much better flying partner...Me thinks.
  20. What a concept: At the end of your useable lifespan where you are finished contributing to your creator you simply auger in without harming anything of value. Quick, painless. It's a beautiful thing. We should all lead such a productive "life" in the service of others. That is going out with a "bang", not a whimper.
  21. What are the chances that a pilot that flies over gross with a passenger in the baggage compartment does a thorough pre-flight to include sumping the tanks and the main strainer....? Hmmmmmm....I wonder. Not
  22. I read a blog with similar speak about Google's "desire" to drive down ADSB prices. Talk is cheap. Clock is ticking. Get a portable Out solution done and out to market...like yesterday already. With the recent post about adverse FAA reaction to a yoke mounted I-Pad I can hardly wait to see the push back. Where is Garmin with a less expensive portable solution for GA? I am tired of words and thousands for a box that makes me "compliant" but gives me nothing else that I value. Holding pattern will continue while more words and cajoling to "avoid the rush and pay up to "git 'r done"... AOPA needs to lead and lobby for a reasonable GA solution for the masses on ADSB Tired of words...
  23. Anybody that flies with a human being in the baggage compartment...You are DEAD to me. Somethings are just wrong. Period. I can think of some others in the news, but I will just leave it there.
