  1. it's dead reckoning using an unapproved gps as your sole means of navigation, so not really dead reckoning IMO. If that GPS fails do you know where you are well enough to navigate by true dead reckoning or pilotage?
  2. the numbering is so confusing it's easy to mess it up. also why I wanted to reference the correct number. we just dropped 6k at autopilot central soooooo not for us now.

  4. I don't see the point of these bulbs when it's not that much more to do away with the strobes and power supplies with the orion 650e
  5. I have read it both ways, but am in the no camp. you can ask for a vector to your destination and if that vector happens to be really good because you're using a VFR gps... well no one is the wiser.
  6. We don't get anywhere near the 103 or 108 capacity without some serious effort. You certainly don't just top it off to the neck's and walk away.
  7. This makes no sense. It's full but there's air in it because it settled? Mmmmnoo You have to fill the monroys painfully slowly as you push air out the vent line.
  8. If you have the monroy tanks, it's apparently never full. I've spent a half hour trickling in go juice only to dump another 5 gallons in from a can the next day. It's ridiculously useless. Making your own calibrated stick is the only way to know for sure.
  9. I don't care how much unusuable fuel I'm carrying. I want the stick to tell me the useable. I can add the unusuable back in for w&b calcs.

  11. I'd probably go p337, cheaper insurance. I probably wouldn't really stay proficient in a twin. No club seating, I know.

  16. Something like a O2d2 will alert you if the gas stops flowing. It's not much but it helps
  17. If you're over the rocks in Co set it for 16,4 that's the highest mva around here.

  19. Only certified to 240 as from the factory. Dunno why other than it was too expensive to change as part of the stc. It'll climb about 1kfpm to 240 if it's not super hot out maybe a bit less like 600 to 800 if it is.
  20. I took our rocket to 240? I'd go higher if it was certified.
