  1. I have heard Garmins approval process is expedited with $$$, while the FAA's is with coverbutt. Have you thought about an escrowed presale of the units that could be used to "motivate" some of the obstacles, Jonny?
  2. Did the starter stay engaged after engine fired once by chance? That can make a lot of metal and why right after engine fire, check oil pressure and start power annunciating is off.
  3. Dan, JB Straubel one of the cofounders of Tesla, has the answer. 99% of battery material that needs to be mined can be reclaimed, again and again. https://www.redwoodmaterials.com/press/redwood-materials-creates-the-first-pathways-for-end-of-life-electric-vehicles-kicks-off-in-california
  4. Lotus Super 7, IMO the only real sports car, right @DonMuncy?
  5. You should just leave it with them Clarence
  6. God speed, Jerry

  8. Agreed, Musk hasnt chased military contracts, the military is chasing contracts with Musk's ops
  9. The military brass are Jeffery Toobin'n over Starlinks ability to deploy upgrades to prevent hacking instantly right now...something our military com systems apparently lack, but that is only observation and opinion, not in my need to know classification.
  10. Wouldnt it be great if he had a Production Certificate in his pocket for when the 400 whr/kg is attained? Kerrville is close to his new battery factory in Austin. Just sayin...
  11. Thats what I found also Neil. If it were a ship full of Chivvy Bolts, it would make more sense, but Porsche Taycan's and ID4's maybe not so much.
  12. I couldnt find anything authorative that the fire that sent a lot of VW products to davey jones's locker was caused by an EV fire, just the claim/inference made here and would also welcome a link to this info.
  13. Teslas 1st qtr report says it all. https:\\ir.tesla.com
  14. agreed, after all, it is a Bloomberg article so there has to be "some" of that or the author might need to seek new employment . I found it factual and the data of the graphs somewhat eye opening of this guys abilities in spite of the cultural headwinds he continually faces from all sides, and why I believe if he were to plant his name on the corner office at Kerrville, it would ultimately be as successful as all his other ventures have been. I personally doubt he would do it to go down the same paths the many previous owners have went however, and bring a completely different look, feel and product out of the aeronautical holyland. The Musk haters have a perfect opportunity today to put their $ where their hate is by shorting TSLA stock before they report 1st qtr earnings today at 5:30 EST. The fanboys have the same opportunity to go long.

  16. Steve I dont know about Will's availability, as he isnt one of our instructors, but he is a quality Mooney CFI for sure. He stepped in for transitioning an airline pilot once when, because of the mandatory NY quarantine 2 week measures were in place, we could not really be of good service and did a terrific job as he always does. @Fly Boomer one of these days when advertising is needed to sustain our services, we will stand a web page up
  17. Byron, the mooney flyer has a listing of Mooney CFI's in it, and Mooney Pros, inc will send an instructor to your clients to transition them. Have your clients reach out to me and we can get them set up. mike at mooneypros.com
  18. Hank, in 2019 Tesla's Australian Hornsdale distributed power system saved over 54 million for the Australian customers and paid for itself in one year [1]. As an engineer, I know you get this, and understand you might not like it, but the data does speak for itself. One of these days, wall street will conclude Teslas main focus isnt that of a car manufacture after all, but in fact is a disrupter of energy as well. Yea, there is all kinds of legislation popping up in various states to prevent the consumer from being in charge of their own charges, but that is what lobbyist do..make laws that cost somebody to make someone else more $ [1] https://guidehouseinsights.com/news-and-views/teslas-autobidder-platform-is-one-example-of-a-new-energy-future
  19. The conundrum Twitter find themselves in now is interesting. Larry Fink telling Blackrock pension fund holders he just voted to not make them a substantial profit might be a bit uncomfortable for their legal team. Elon dumping his twtr stock sends twtr sub $20 and making the board's legal team a bit uncomfortable. Elon taking out a 30B loan to buy will make a few banks uncomfortable. Current admin losing its bullhorn making the mouthpieces uncomfortable. Prospect of not being able to track Elon's jet making the kid uncomfortable. Maybe Ill buy a few shares and buy a put for after 420 to hedge it all. Leftist complaining about a billionaire owning a media platform is quite humorous popping the corn and watching this 3D chess game
  20. as do I. Elons' companies are a major target for talent poaching for good reason and as such, a high turnover happens. Yea, he is probably tough to work for as he expects everyone to contribute and responsible for their own actions, work extremely hard at fulfilling the mission of bettering humanity. And I am sure a lot of execs got in thinking it would be an easier ride so they left. I highly doubt he spends all day $hit posting and trolling on twitter based on his accomplishments but who knows, maybe he accomplishes all this while he sleeps
  21. Congrats Tom! It will be great to meet you and watch you do the mental % torque to MP calcs
  22. thats one way to get rid of that pesky mixture knob
  23. Actually, I am closer to Key West than Pensacola logistically, however there are a few MS members around the area that could better give local info. For annuals, I would of course recommend Maxwell, or SWTA, both a bit further than the range requested.
