  1. Just bought a 25qt of -3, -4, and-5 Nord washers from Aircraft spruce. It would be interesting if they hold torque on the rocker gaskets and baffleing corse thread hardware. Another area could be the brake calipers. Seems like common areas to really improve operation. IPC aside of course. ;-). -Matt
  2. Should be the same. I would jump on one if asked the same question. Earlier than ‘65 are different. Matt
  3. I took my expensive Eaton relay apart today. In the metal tin can there is a steel sleeve where the barrel retracts into the magnet portion itself. My guess is that the housing was miss-aligned and wearing between the housing and the barrel. The contacts were clean and I don’t think that was the issue. I lubed the barrel and sleeve and put it all back together. Who Knows, -Matt
  4. Depends on where your sump is! -Matt
  5. Some one over torqued the starter lug. I don’t have experience with that brand starter or how it’s made internally. Looks like one could open it up and re-secure the terminal. Does it start ok? -Matt
  6. Our coverage for our flight department went up 40% and the coverage went to less than half of what it was on a few aircraft we operate. The coverage on the dual crewed aircraft stayed the same but the premium still went up 40%. This is on some serious hardware. It’s a tough market. Cessna and Embraer can’t sell single pilot jets anymore. Our M20E is through Falcon/global currently, but I’ll be giving Parker a call in the fall. -Matt
  7. Hi, yes. Not sure if that’s a doubler on the back or not, couldn’t tell. Just want you to have a safe airplane. My inspector eyes couldn’t help themselves. Take Care! -Matt
  8. Just don’t use the Airwolf adaptor. I don’t like Teflon seals they use at the swivel fittings. Stock Lycoming adaptor works great! Just make sure you use the correct gasket. The oil P screen gasket and the gasket for the oil filter adaptor are two different ones. The wrong gasket bypasses the oil cooler. :-) -Matt
  9. I left that one for you Mike. ;-) Glad the OP is going the right direction now. -Matt
  10. Sold! thanks everyone! -Matt
  11. Interesting find. I don’t know either. It’s probably steel correct? Maybe a mis-rigged bushing first some carb heat items. Also, it appears your cowl flap hinge is cracked. I have had that style throttle and mixture fittings depart in the past. Finally, the fuel hose has nonstandard fire-sleeve. -Matt
  12. Hi, Yes they are sold, dropping them off locally for a gentleman today. Thanks! -Matt
  13. The original one is no longer available. I upgraded to a new Eaton one with increased amperage. $$$! It later failed miserably, so installed the original one. You can take it apart and clean contacts. I would not buy a new one. -Matt
  14. Nice airmanship! Was any amount of trim helpful? Was the door locked? -Matt
  15. Hi, reposting this in the classified section. Two New disc for sale. Never installed. P/N RA164-02000. These discs are for the later Cleveland 600x6 main wheels with 5/16 bolts and not the early wheels with 1/4in bolts. I goofed when I purchased them years ago. Current price at aircraft spruce is $93ea. $90 for the pair plus shipping. Thanks! -Matt
  16. eBay should have loads of them now with everyone upgrading to LEDs. -Matt
  17. Those that use Adlog, have they been helpful with service? My airplane has it but I haven’t received anything new from them in 10 years. I keep the AD’s up separately. I’ve been meaning to call them for some AD updates. -Matt
  18. I can’t remember if they are -3 or -4 bolts. I want to say they are -4 bolts? See the below chart. -3 bolts have 3/8” heads. -4 bolts have 7/16 heads. I would use this standard torque unless you find it specifically called out. -Matt
  19. Two New disc for sale. Never installed. p/n RA164-02000. These are for the later Cleveland wheels with 5/16 bolts and not the early wheels with 1/4in bolts. I goofed when I purchased them years ago. Current price at aircraft spruce is $93ea. $90 for the pair plus shipping. Thanks! -Matt
  20. Brown aircraft can cut you exactly what you need out of better rubber. I’ve been really happy with them. I’ve had mine apart a few times and the brown gasket was reused with our issue. Sorry for your troubles. -Matt
  21. My aft baggage wall is black. As are the 2 avionics shelves and the bottom of the hat rack. Not sure what type of paint it was, it’s really Flaky. 65E model. -Matt
  22. See if you can get it in the tube. It will be better for your application. They make it in 6oz tubes. -Matt
  23. One tube should work if you have nice thin gaps. I have only seen it in black. It’s good stuff -Matt
  24. Prc 1425 b 1/2 is black and I use it on windows. It is not fuel tank sealant. -Matt
  25. Sorry, can’t help with that one. Ping Alan on the site and see if he has one. cheers, -Matt
