IndyTim Posted July 1, 2013 Report Posted July 1, 2013 Hi folks -- I'm looking at buying a Mooney (again) and hope to find a good CFI with strong Mooney experience. I'm in the Milwaukee area most of the time. Any recommendations? Quote
IndyTim Posted July 7, 2013 Author Report Posted July 7, 2013 Bump - anyone have any recommendations? Quote
fantom Posted July 7, 2013 Report Posted July 7, 2013 Put Parker up, and have him tudor you in your new 252/Encore Quote
FloridaMan Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 If Parker can't do it, use Bruce Jeager out of Willmar, MN. He was incredibly reasonable with my transition training and he is the former owner of Willmar Air Service. I flew with both Bruce and Parker in doing my insurance requirements. Both are excellent. Bruce is geographically closer and will insist on ROP operation. Parker will push you for LOP. http://www.jaegeraviation.com/training I can say with full confidence that every experienced instructor will disagree with another experienced instructor on one matter or another. The same goes with mechanics. The second instructor or mechanic you deal with will worry the hell out of you because they invariably will tell you the exact opposite of something the previous expert insisted on. Quote
fantom Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 ......because they invariably will tell you the exact opposite of something the previous expert insisted on. In aviation, like in life, there are no universal truths. Well, maybe one.......I just don't recall it Quote
IndyTim Posted July 10, 2013 Author Report Posted July 10, 2013 Thanks for te recommendations. I've got something worked out with Parker, but in all likelihood will try to get a day in with Bruce as well. Quote
