I paid for the quick trip to the east coast with the return trip yesterday.  Tough time even breaking 170 knots and it took about 3:15 compared to the 2:07 going.

In the 201 I have seen 215 knots groundspeed. On the 747-200 I have seen 646 knots.

Almost got it today Byron, but not quite.  It just spiked up as we were turning southeast to east and then went back down.  I was close though.  :-) She was snug up against the red line.

Winds were strong tonight and heard a couple Jet Blue's (west bound) advising they were slowing down to conserve fuel.

I found it funny today. We flew from Boca to Ft Myers to drop off my wife's aunt and her daughter. We laid down the 97 miles in about 40 minutes, and burned up 7 gallons of gas. On descent into KRSW, we were told to slow up 20 knots for an Airbus 320 on final for sequencing. We were doing about 180 KIAS in the descent. Then we were told to slow up another 20 knots. Its not often I have to slow up 40 knots for an airliner. Love those Mooneys.

hey Jetdriven,

watch out for that shock cooling stuff.

any news on your brakes bleeding ? i am in the process of changing the hoses in the gear well and worried and i will end up with nil braking action ..
