I just bought one of these things from Lyle myself.  It just arrived today, as a matter of fact, and I haven't even installed it yet.  So far, I am very impressed with the quality of it's manufacture.  For instance, all of the mounting holes are tapped so that no nut is required.  I'm looking forward to seeing how the mounting position above my compass works out . . .

So sorry the gps mount didn't work out for you.  I could have refunded your money if you called prior to placing it on Ebay .  We value customer satisfaction and always welcome constructive critisism.
