I'm finally getting my '67 E next week and would like to get a few mods done before it goes into the paint shop.  Does anyone know of any mechanic in the KC area that is comfortable doing mods on Mooney's?

Thanks in advance,

Brian

I thought about it, but prefer to keep her close to the shed so I can monitor the progress.  Looking at several shops and I'm in the process of getting quotes for the paint.  There's a method to my madness, I just haven't figured it out yet... :)

There is a poster on this forum that just had some mods done on his pre-J Mooney in the KC area, but I cannot recall his name...hopefully he'll see this thread or you can try the search function.

I just had my airplane modified by Raul Bueno. He has a hanger at East KC Airport about 5 miles east of independence missouri.  He worked on my plane for about 3 weeks. He did a great job and essentially installed most every mod available for my airplane, including the belly and 201 window.  He has all the tools and is an excellent sheet metal mechanic.

I highly recommend him.  Please respond and I will give you his information. If you like visit my posting in this forum. It shows his work and progress.

At this time my airplane is in the paint shop at Johnson County Executive with Mozley's painting .  They also are doing an excellent job.

Hi Robert,

I sent a PM a few days ago, but I'm not sure if they are working.  How much is Mozley's charging for the painting?  I contacted R&B Aircraft in Topeka as well as a few in Mena, AK.  Would prefer to keep it clsoe to home.

Thanks,

Brian
