231LV Posted Saturday at 10:46 PM Report Posted Saturday at 10:46 PM (edited) Had my tanks completely resealed over ten years ago by Willmar. The right tank has developed a pretty severe leak staining the gear strut, the entire seam along the landing gear, the access panel. I tried patching at Chandler a year or so ago ...no joy. I am very very reluctant to fly back to Willmar, Florida or Texas to reseal the tank. Are there any other options I am unaware of? Edited 13 hours ago by 231LV photos added

At least get Paul Beck from Weep No More in Willmar on the phone and send him some pictures. You might also put some pictures on here.

If you wanted to try another patch, Advanced in Troutdale Oregon is real good. Greg used to do full reseals but just does patching now, but he’s really good at fuel tanks and good to work with.

CaptBroyles Posted 21 hours ago Report Posted 21 hours ago First post here…. I have the same staining problem but on the seams, on top of my left wing. I assume the same advice will be given. I’m in Central Texas. I also have the actuator AD coming up, any advice. Please forgive my lack of articulation.

Maxwells is doing some tank work as well and they’re in Texas. He could give you a good idea. I’ve also heard that Houston tank specialist is doing mooney tanks but I have no experience with them. What actuator are you asking about? Landing gear no back spring?
N201MKTurbo Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Don’t think of it as a patch. There is nothing in the service manual about patching a tank. It is not approved anywhere. What is approved is resealing a portion of the tank. 4

Fritz1 Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago As stated before, contact Paul beck at Weep No More, he sealed the tanks in the first place, his warranty is 7 years and he stands behind his work, he may be interested in understanding what happened here and why and he is one of the most competent people to fix the problem 1
