Yes, for the Direct To promotion, the GTN needed to be SHIPPED from Garmin within the qualifying period.  So if your dealer had one in stock, it might not be eligible.  However at least one person was able to argue around that.

Unfortunately, my panel was done about a month to early for this new one.  So cost me a couple of thousand.
