Seat belt extensions.

Anyone know where I can buy a set of seat belt extenders for an Ovation?     I couldn't get my seat belts around a lady on a volunteer medical flight last year and almost had a repeat this past week.    Seems like women always lie about their weight.

You can buy seat belt extenders on Amazon and other sites.  It just depends on the type of attachments you have.  There are different types.  I have one from a company that was called Free The Flyer but they are apparently no longer in business.  I couldn't find them online.

The Ovation seat belt buckles changed.  I had 1998 Ovation belts in my plane initially which had square buckles.  I then changed to later model Ovation seat belts due to the Amsafe Buckles which unlatch at 90 degrees of opening.  These make it more difficult to open the buckles when I put down the gear with the Johnson Bar.  (Yes I know,  Ovation seat belts and Johnson Bar in one sentence is an oxymoron.). The Ovation belts and interior were installed with DER approval.

But, you can find the extension with the Amsafe buckles in the aviation parts section of E-bay Motors.
