52Yankee Posted October 9, 2023 Report Posted October 9, 2023 Any chance anyone knows about a STC for electric landing gear by a company named Nayak Aviation Corps? My ‘64 M20E had it done OCT 1964, seemingly straight from the factory? Thanks! Quote
52Yankee Posted October 9, 2023 Author Report Posted October 9, 2023 This is all I can find from 337 file. Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted October 9, 2023 Report Posted October 9, 2023 The company still exists in San Antonio, you could give them a call. You could search for the STC number on Google. I can’t read it from your pic. Quote
ragedracer1977 Posted October 9, 2023 Report Posted October 9, 2023 I believe this is it, with the current holder. Quote
52Yankee Posted October 10, 2023 Author Report Posted October 10, 2023 Yeah I searched the FAA DRS website and also found the current holder of the STC. I’m going to give them a call. Really all I want is some sort of instructional manual about installation. I’m going through my annual right now and don’t have much relative to proper operation, emergency extension, etc. Thanks for the help! Quote
PT20J Posted October 10, 2023 Report Posted October 10, 2023 Was this a conversion using Mooney factory parts? Quote
52Yankee Posted October 15, 2023 Author Report Posted October 15, 2023 Potentially; the emergency extension for the electric gear is to disconnect the jackscrew and use Johnson bar to lock the gear down. It seems very reliable, most others I speak to have to crank a wheel to extend. Quote

Expand Normally the j bar is directly connected to the gear… are you saying theres a jbar in the airplane but it doesn’t normally move with the electric gear? Quote
