joepilotmooney Posted June 6, 2023 Report Posted June 6, 2023 Went up today and there was a scratchiness in both our headsets. Tower read us 5x5 on both radios (#2 seemed fine). But we read them quite scratchy on the G430. Seemed a little better when we came back after an hour. Maybe loose antenna cable somewhere? Appreciate any ideas. Have also notice recently the nav ID is not working at all on the G430. Joe M20J
N201MKTurbo Posted June 6, 2023 Report Posted June 6, 2023 I would reseat the radio and audio panel and see if that helps. 1
Greg Ellis Posted June 6, 2023 Report Posted June 6, 2023 This happened with my 530 and I did what @N201MKTurbo said above and it fixed the issue. 1
joepilotmooney Posted June 6, 2023 Author Report Posted June 6, 2023 Will do that thanks. It's just a little hex wrench that goes into the hole in the middle that you turn I think?
joepilotmooney Posted June 6, 2023 Author Report Posted June 6, 2023 Seems there's plenty to see on youtube to take it in and out...never mind!
joepilotmooney Posted June 14, 2023 Author Report Posted June 14, 2023 Gentlemen, Thanks, your solution worked; pulled 430 and audio panel out a few inches and reseated, all is good, nav IDs working now too. Cheers, 1
