Joe Pilot Posted July 16, 2022 Report Posted July 16, 2022 Hi Mooney guys and gals, I'm teaching a young fellow to fly his late grandfather's Mooney M-10 Cadet. It has what appears to be a wing leveler installed but there is no documentation other than a 337 form documenting its installation 50 years ago. Has anyone seen one of these? Does anyone know anything about them, like who made them? I can't find anything on the 'net. I'd love to get copies of any documentation you'd care to share. It appears to work. I think it gets its data from the turn coordinator. It drives two trim tabs, one on each aileron. I'd like to ignore it but his PP check ride is coming soon and it would be nice to know something for sure. Thanks in advance. JP PS: My student's mother plans to sell this airplane later this fall. It's a nice airplane, if anyone is interested. Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted July 16, 2022 Report Posted July 16, 2022 I think this might be it. https://pdfhall.com/update-on-the-poormans-autopilot_5b2446fe097c4752578b456a.html Quote
Joe Pilot Posted July 17, 2022 Author Report Posted July 17, 2022 That appears to be it. So this is a homemade, single axis autopilot installed in a standard category aircraft? No wonder there isn't any documentation! It seems to work just fine, however. Thank you for your help. JP Quote
