guyjill Posted April 4, 2022 Report Posted April 4, 2022 Turns out my McCauley 2 blade propeller didn't pass inspection when sent in for overhaul.... If anyone upgraded to a 3 bladed, and still has there 2 blade propeller sitting around, please let me know. Guy Foreman 321-626-7699 cell Quote
carusoam Posted April 4, 2022 Report Posted April 4, 2022 Welcome aboard Guy… We have a prop guy around here @Cody Stallings… And we have a Mooney parts reseller as well…. @Alan Fox And a few other people… Best regards, -a- Quote
guyjill Posted April 5, 2022 Author Report Posted April 5, 2022 I've used Cody in the past. He built up a propeller for my Garrett powered Lancair IVP. I didn't realize he worked on Mc Cauley propellers, but I'll give him a call. Thank you 2 Quote
carusoam Posted April 6, 2022 Report Posted April 6, 2022 Guy, Were going to need pics of the Lancair IVPT… We had one around here until recently…. Mooney pilots and Lancair pilots seem to be in similar circles… Best regards, -a- Quote
carusoam Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 Seeing if Tom is around… @Yooper Rocketman (new MSer came aboard, thought you might recognize his other plane…) Best regards, -a- Quote
jetdriven Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 Try propeller man I just bought a 214 prop for 10,500. Which is good these days. Quote

Haven’t formally met him but he’s a very respected builder of Lancair Aircraft, specifically the IV, IVP, and IVPT. Tom 1 1 Quote

mhrivnak Posted April 10, 2022 Report Posted April 10, 2022 Just an idea: if you switch to the Hartzell Top Prop, that gives you the option to later put in an IO-390 whenever your engine is due for overhaul. It also would get rid of the RPM caution range. The downside is that their lead time is about 12 weeks (I asked at their Sun n Fun booth the other day). But maybe there's a similar delay for McCauley. 1 Quote
