Need M20J cowl flap connecting rod (vertical rod that connect to the cowl flap)

I have a 1984 M20J serial #24-1463. The fitting on the end of the cowl flap rod came apart. It is a collar that slides up and connect to a ball fitting attached to the cowl flap door. I received  one from BAS, but my cowl flap has a larger ball end and doesn't fit this one from BAS. I'm having a hard time finding a replacement. LASAR doesn't seam to understand what I'm looking for (but they are very nice).  Does any on have one to sell or know where I can purchase one?

Wow, all great info. I won't have any trouble now fixing this problem. I can't thank you all enough for your help!

When you install the new coupling, push a bit of grease into the female half before you couple it to the cowl flap.
