I personally don’t get “lean pops”, so I’m guessing you have a small intake leak, maybe check the sniffle valve? We lean on the ground anytime to prevent lead fouling, especially on the spark plugs. I seem to have a rough idle and random lean pop after a flight and landing during the heat of the day.I hear popping after landing on very hot and humid days. Leaning aggressively will eliminate it. (For me, hours on mags and plugs are irrelevant. I had the issue before I overhauled the mags and put in new plugs. Still happens.) Quote
