got tired of replacing batteries in my Bose noise canceling head set, during an avionics upgrade converted to a faro adapter for the headset, was really surprised on how well that simple conversion worked out, no more battery change out and as soon as master is switched on, instant noise elimination and no more inflight battery change outs. now to do the co pilot side

I thought about it but my avionics guy said he is constantly changing the connectors for people (Bose, DC, doesn't matter).

So ALWAYS be MUCH more gentle than you think you need to be.

lol, was just about to ask for a link... LEMO plugs are delicate, most that I know just leave them plugged in

I know everyone says they are fragile but I've had them in my plane for more than 20 years without an issue.  My headset always stays plugged in but the 3 positions get plugged and unplugged, not always by me, and have been fine.  I wonder if the location matters, meaning is it placed such that the barrel of the headset plug can get hit sideways.  Mine are all recessed so the plug barrel can't get hit easily.

My guess is that a lot of people put them in and pull them out at an angle.

Eventually they they break one end or the other.
