What would a Mooney owner do with such an interesting engine as an O320E2D?

Does it fit the Pre M20A M20?

It has an interesting patina...

Looks to me to be more useful as a boat anchor than an aircraft engine, but that's just me.

I'll buy it COD. Subject to inspection by my mechanic obviously. I have a couple 172s. One is getting the engine overhauled now. The other is on condition but will need in a couple years. Sounds like a steal... I
