Culver LFA Posted May 14, 2020 Report Posted May 14, 2020 Here are all of the electric gear components removed from my M20F when converted back to j-bar, it’s probably been a few years since such a kit has been available and who knows if it ever will be available again! $2500.00 1 Quote
Hank Posted May 15, 2020 Report Posted May 15, 2020 Wow, Dukes Astronautics Company! Makes me even happier to have that 0.20 hp motor under my floorboards. 1 Quote
EricJ Posted May 15, 2020 Report Posted May 15, 2020 Save it. You might want to put it back in later. 1 Quote

Everything must go, cleaning out the hangar sale! Quote
Piotrekpdx Posted May 23, 2020 Report Posted May 23, 2020 Would it work on the E model or only the F? Quote

Piotrekpdx Posted May 26, 2020 Report Posted May 26, 2020 Are there other non electrical parts needed to complete the conversion? Do you have a ballpark estimate for how many hours it would take to complete the conversion? Sorry for all the questions, just interested in how much the whole process would cost if I were to move forward with it. Thank you! Quote

Only hardware not included are pushrods, your pushrods will need to be shortened(main)/lengthened(nose) or replaced because the manual gear bellcrank mounts further forward than the electric gear bellcrank does. Probably 30 hrs, the tough part is where do you stop with the extras once you get started. I stripped/primed/painted all control and gear linkages. Super-cleaned and lubed all the rod ends. Removed old wiring that was from avionics shops long ago... I’d be happy to provide a detailed step by step to complete the conversion. Quote

banjo Posted May 31, 2020 Report Posted May 31, 2020 Is there a installation manual available? If the electrics fail is there a backup wheels down option? Rgds B Quote
Ross Taylor Posted May 31, 2020 Report Posted May 31, 2020 Hi @banjo - I can't help with the manual question, but this is the manual/emergency extension crank. It mounts on the sidewall, to the left of the pilot's knee. 1 Quote
