rangermb Posted April 5, 2020 Report Posted April 5, 2020 My hangar fairy is trying to spruce up the interior of my J bit and wants to replace a number of the little screws that attach the thumb plates to the top of the control wheels. Several of them were rounded out by a previous owner and were also suffering from an Ill-fated attempt to spray paint them in place. Any suggestions for a source for these little buggers? Thanks Mike Quote
PT20J Posted April 5, 2020 Report Posted April 5, 2020 That’s standard hardware. Your A&P should have a stock of such. Or, you can buy them from Aircraft Spruce or a number of places that stock aircraft hardware. Skip 1 Quote

Cheaper than Spruce. https://catalog.monroeaerospace.com/item/all-categories/ms-screws/ms24693bb2-1 Black brass, 4-40 thread, 100-degree countersink. No need to paint. Standard avionics stuff...non-magnetic. Steve 2 Quote
