rbridges Posted June 5, 2019 Report Posted June 5, 2019 I had ESV on my PFD 1000 pro when it was installed, but I never used it. When I finally decided to try it out, it's not available. I looked through old photos and found a couple. The first is 9/18 and shows the hot button lit up below the barometric pressure. The second pic taken 1/19 shows the button missing. Yeah, I know I'm so observant that it took me months to notice it was gone. LOL. The shop thought it was a card issue, so he sent me a new micro sd card, but no svt hot button available after the swap. My plane was in the hangar with no GPS signal, but I thought the button would still be present. I'm going to call tomorrow, but I was wondering if anybody had any insight or suggestions? Quote

You probably know this, but you can't just insert the installation card and have synthetic vision. It has to go through it's installation once you're in installation mode. Then once it's installed your old card with data needs to be re-inserted. Quote

I guess he thought since I "had" it that I should be able to swap the data card. I guess I'll fly back up there and make them reinstall it. Quote
HXG Posted June 5, 2019 Report Posted June 5, 2019 (edited) I’m no expert. But, I think you still need the synthetic vision software upgrade. My Aspen Pro has synthetic vision on page 3/3. I only see 2 pages in your 1st photo. I’m not sure why the 2nd page is lost on your last photo. Edited June 5, 2019 by HXG Quote

I know I bought it when they had the free SV upgrade last year. Something weird is definitely happening with the hot key though. Does anyone know what page 1 and 2 do? Quote
Bob_Belville Posted June 5, 2019 Report Posted June 5, 2019 There are 3 pages when you have SV and AOA. I have to toggle to page 3 to select the SV view I want every time I power up. I then have to toggle back to page 1 to get the GPSS hot button back. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote

The PFD’s come with a 10 hour “demo” of the ESV. So your synthetic vision was probably never unlocked for good... you just had the demo period running. Once you install the SV unlock, you’ll have it “for good.” Quote
