Rear Seatback Weight Limitation on 1990 M20J

Maybe I'm just blind, but I cannot find the limitation in the POH for the placard that is between the rear two seats in my M20J.  It reads something like "170 lbs. maximum on each seat back".  I just want to verify that this is in fact a limitation and was not something added by a previous owner.  170lbs is used in the example weight and balance calculation, but I'm just not seeing it as a limitation.

 

Of course you could get all technical with it and say that a person's full weight is not supported by the seatback only....

The placard is correct. I have the same one on my M20J. It is also shown on the blue POH book.
