Hi,

recently I noticed a small fuel leakage in my "Juliette". However, before I start fighting with a screwdriver I'd like to look at M20J fuel tanks diagrams. Problem is, the only thing that the manual has to offer is a wing center cross-section and a part of fuel instalation system - neither with tanks depicted. I've been searching throughout the interent with no effect. Does anyone of you guys have such diagram to share with or a good photo to learn from instead? Maybe from later Mooney models? (I've got no idea if they have the same tank solutions though)

Thanks!

I guess you know the tanks are just wet wings assuming you don't have bladders.  There are 2 fuel senders in each wing, and sometimes these leak.  The ones on the inside are accessed from the inside of the cabin by removing the lower interior panel on each side.  The ones on the outside of the tanks are accessed by removing one of the front inspection plates on the bottom of the wing.  On my plane 67F it is the 1st bay past the fuel filler cap. Be sure you are not removing the ones to get inside the tank! If the senders are not leaking then it gets more complicated.  There are 3 tank compartments in each wing and you can get an idea which one is leaking by filling up the tanks a little at time and trying to figure out how high the fuel level has to be before the leak starts.
