Take a careful look at the push rod tube seal on the inner surface of the cylinder head. Wash down with varsol and run it again. The lower ignition wire ends for cylinder 2 & 4 should be repaired, it's not too difficult without the need for a new harness. Clarence Quote

This is my old set: And the new ones with prefab 90° elbows: And yeah, just noticed I need to reroute the lead to #3. Hank, A little tidy up is in order, your starter power cables are one melted/broken tyrap from contacting your cylinder 4 exhaust pipe. Same for the crankcase breather hose, which is labeled heater hose. Clarence Quote
Mjknick@gmail.com Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 Very Nice high tension leads! Yes that damn oil fill tube mine is loose again. I always try not to tighten the dipstick too tight but... Quote
jetdriven Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 An o-ring fixes the dipstick tube gasket issue. Those tubes always get play in them with paper gasket there. Then they leak. Then you dog them down and safety extra tight then the safety wire cuts through the plastic. Quote
carusoam Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 Holy cow, Harley... oil dripping on the exhaust tube? Great catch! That thing gets red hot with EGT flowing by on the inside. Thanks again to Clarence for the pro-insight to all the photos. Best regards, -a- Quote
