k4owb Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 Does anyone know where the clock gets its power and does the display stay on when the master is turned off? Quote
co2bruce Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 Ours stays on, it must get power from battery. Quote
gsengle Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 Yes and if it loses it's time, as mine used to, it could be an obscure hard wired fuse.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
carusoam Posted August 3, 2017 Report Posted August 3, 2017 Welcome aboard K4. There are a few things that stay on.... clock radio frequency memories the cigarette lighter Certain cabin lights. One by the baggage door. Leaving things plugged in the cigarette lighter can really kill a battery... Check your POH for a wiring diagram to see what else may be on that line... On mine the clock gets its keep alive power directly from the battery. There is a small fuse very near the battery that controls it. If that fuse is blown the clock will not stay alive. 1 Quote
