cnoe Posted July 14, 2017 Report Posted July 14, 2017 It's too late to send a letter, and likely too late for an e-mail to be considered. So please call the number above and tell your House Representative that you OPPOSE the bill HR2997. It's really very simple to do. And if you're not sure who your representative is click on http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/ and after entering your ZIP code you'll know who to call. If this bill gets through the House this week it will be much more difficult to stop in the House/Senate reconciliation process. Let's please not turn over our airspace to the airlines. Thanks! 1 Quote
tony Posted July 15, 2017 Report Posted July 15, 2017 The number you posted is for the senate. If you want the house use this number: 202-225-3121 Quote
cnoe Posted July 15, 2017 Author Report Posted July 15, 2017 It's the contact number given on the house.gov website and routes to a joint congressional switchboard. You "press 1" for the Senate or "press 2" for the House. If the number you posted goes directly to the House that's even better if you're specifically contacting your House Rep (which is what everybody should be doing at this time). Thanks for the additional number and comment. Quote
bradp Posted July 21, 2017 Report Posted July 21, 2017 Called today - apparently this thing could come up for vote this week. I got a direct line to a staffer in DC by googling my congressman's name. 1 Quote
