Just a shot in the dark...

I'm planning on being in Franklin on a project the week of March 20. Anyone nearby interested in rescuing me from my team for dinner and a brew one evening?

Sorry, we're in Atlanta most of the time, but my wife grew up in Cullowhee, which is 3 minutes by air from Franklin and has a cool mountain top airport (24A). If it's nice weather you should at least stop in...with drop offs on both sides it's a fun carrier-style landing.

I'm not flying in this trip but I think both of these airports are going to be on my fall foliage flight list.

I live in Sylva NC half the year, and use 24A. It's a tight field on a mountain top. While in Franklin you must eat at Cafe Rel. Don't be scared off by the looks (attached to a Hot Spot gas station), it's the best restaurant in the area. Fantastic food. They don't take credit cards, check or cash only ( don't ask how I know!) If I'm there I'll drop you a line.

My brother in law married a girl from Robbinsville. I think her brother is now the Franklin, NC, airport manager.  End to drop in before it gets too hot.
