FloridaMan Posted March 10, 2017 Report Posted March 10, 2017 I've written a piece of software that converts JPI data to logbook data. It computes the departure and arrival airport, whether the flight was cross country, the number of landings and the amount of time that was night flight (after sunset) and the number of night landings (landings occurring between 1 hour after sunset and 1 hour before sunrise). I'll probably automate and charge for it in the future, but if anyone wants me to run their data through it to help me test it and to produce logs for them, I'd be happy to do it for my fellow MooneySpace members. 1 Quote
TheTurtle Posted March 10, 2017 Report Posted March 10, 2017 sounds interesting. any plans on adding GEM data? Quote
Yetti Posted March 11, 2017 Report Posted March 11, 2017 Interesting enough droidefb does this automatically for about a year. If you want to upload the flight, it is just a couple of clicks. Then you can see it on google earth. Quote

Yes, except the engine monitor never forgets to record your data and that, depending on your rules, you might want to log some of your taxi time as well. Quote
Yetti Posted March 12, 2017 Report Posted March 12, 2017 Since my engine monitor is between my furry ears, I guess I will have use that to estimate my taxi time. :-) I wish I had time to code. I would have some pretty cool things going. Quote
Piloto Posted March 12, 2017 Report Posted March 12, 2017 Garmin pilot has also a pilot log function that records flight parameters, including max altitude, speed, departure and destination airports and others. Very handy. José Quote
